Prolapse

Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is incredibly common — affecting up to 50% of women who have given birth — but it’s also very treatable. You might feel a sense of heaviness, pressure, a bulge, or simply that something doesn’t feel quite right. These symptoms can be worrying, but you're not alone — and help is available.

We offer respectful, evidence-based care to help you manage prolapse symptoms, improve function, and get back to the things you love.

Common prolapse symptoms

  • A feeling of vaginal heaviness or pressure

  • Sensation of a bulge or something “falling out”

  • Difficulty emptying the bladder or bowel

  • Discomfort with standing, walking, or during exercise

  • Discomfort or changes during intimacy

  • Reduced confidence with movement or activity

What is it?

Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when one or more of the pelvic organs (bladder, uterus, rectum) descend into the vaginal space.
