Pregnancy and postnatal
Pelvic health physiotherapy plays an important role in supporting your body during pregnancy and after birth.
As your body changes, you may experience pelvic girdle pain, back pain, bladder or bowel concerns, or notice abdominal muscle separation (diastasis recti). We provide safe, evidence-based care to help you stay comfortable, active, and confident throughout pregnancy.

After birth, whether vaginal or caesarean, we assist with recovery of the pelvic floor and core muscles, healing from perineal tears or episiotomy, managing prolapse symptoms, and guiding your return to exercise and daily activities.

Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge, exercises, and support you need for a strong and healthy recovery — at every stage.

Pregnancy: what to expect
Prep for birth
Pelvic health physiotherapy can help you prepare for birth by teaching strategies to support your pelvic floor, core, and breathing. We provide guidance on positions, perineal massage, and techniques that can assist during labour and delivery.
Pelvic floor assesment
A pelvic floor assessment helps us understand how your pelvic floor muscles are working — whether they need strengthening, relaxation, or coordination. We provide a respectful, personalised approach to help you achieve your goals.
Guided movement
We offer safe, tailored movement and exercise guidance to help you stay active during pregnancy and postnatal recovery. Our focus is on building strength, improving mobility, and supporting your body’s changing needs.
Postnatal: recovery
Your body goes through many changes during pregnancy and birth, and postnatal recovery is about supporting healing, strength, and confidence as you adjust to life with your baby. We provide personalised care to help with:

✅ Pelvic floor and core muscle recovery
✅ Healing after perineal tears, episiotomy, or caesarean birth
✅ Management of pelvic organ prolapse symptoms
✅ Support for bladder or bowel concerns
✅ Safe return to exercise and daily activities

Our goal is to help you feel comfortable, strong, and well-supported as you navigate this important time.
